VPS Stock Alert
VPS Stock Alert lets you sign in with Discord and subscribe to selected stock alerts. The service stores only the information needed to identify your Discord account, remember your alert preferences, maintain your app session, and deliver Discord notifications.
VPS Stock Alert does not sell your personal data, does not use advertising or behavioral tracking, and does not request permission to view your other Discord servers, channels, or messages. Discord sign-in identifies the account that should receive stock-alert DMs and may add that account to the official VPS Stock Alert Discord server. You can unsubscribe from alerts at any time.
1. Information we collect
When you sign in with Discord, VPS Stock Alert receives and stores the minimum Discord profile information needed to provide the service:
- Discord user ID
- Discord username or display name
- Discord avatar reference, when available
- Your selected alert preferences
- Your subscription status
- Service timestamps needed to maintain the subscription and session
VPS Stock Alert does not request your Discord email address and does not request permission to list or view your other Discord servers, channels, friends, or message history. As part of sign-in, VPS Stock Alert may add your Discord account to the official VPS Stock Alert server.
2. Discord sign-in
VPS Stock Alert uses Discord OAuth to authenticate you. The app requests the identify scope to retrieve your basic Discord identity and the guilds.join scope to add your Discord account to the official VPS Stock Alert Discord server.
The guilds.join permission is used only for joining the VPS Stock Alert server. It does not give VPS Stock Alert permission to view or manage your other Discord servers, channels, friends, or message history.
OAuth uses PKCE and a state value to protect the sign-in flow. Discord access tokens are used only for authentication and the server-join process, then revoked after the sign-in exchange. They are not stored as long-term VPS Stock Alert credentials.
Discord is a separate service. Information processed directly by Discord is governed by Discord's own terms and privacy policy.
3. App sessions and security
After sign-in, VPS Stock Alert issues an app-specific session token so the app can access your subscription settings.
- The Android app stores its session token in encrypted app-private storage protected by the Android Keystore.
- The server stores only a cryptographic hash of the app session token, not the raw token.
- App traffic to the VPS Stock Alert API uses HTTPS.
- Session tokens expire and can be revoked when you sign out.
4. Alert preferences and Discord notifications
VPS Stock Alert stores which supported categories you choose to monitor.
When a matching stock change is detected, the service may use a Discord bot to send a private DM to the Discord account associated with your subscription.
You can unsubscribe from all alerts in the app. Signing out of the app does not automatically unsubscribe your stock alerts.
5. Service operation
VPS Stock Alert uses backend services to authenticate app sessions, store subscriber records and preferences, and support the stock-alert service.
Technical request information may be processed as part of operating, securing, and troubleshooting the service.
6. Advertising, analytics, and tracking
VPS Stock Alert does not include third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
The service may use operational server logs for reliability, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and security. VPS Stock Alert does not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
7. Referral links and external websites
Some stock notifications or related app information may contain referral links. If you choose to open one, your browser will take you to an external website.
A referral may provide compensation to support the service without changing the price you pay. VPS Stock Alert does not receive your payment card details.
Once you leave VPS Stock Alert, the destination website's own terms and privacy policy apply.
8. Data sharing and selling
VPS Stock Alert does not sell personal data.
Data is shared only as needed to operate the service, including communication with Discord for authentication, joining the official VPS Stock Alert server, and DM delivery.
VPS Stock Alert does not share subscriber data with advertisers or data brokers.
9. Data retention
Subscriber information and alert preferences may be retained while your subscription or VPS Stock Alert profile remains active or as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service.
Expired or revoked session records and expired OAuth transactions may be deleted as part of normal service maintenance.
Unsubscribing disables your alerts but does not necessarily delete the subscriber profile used to identify your Discord account.
10. Changes to this policy
If VPS Stock Alert's data practices or features change, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will also be revised.
